I am Mike Noble, a member of UltimateBass.com since it’s inception. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, I graduated from Central High School in 1971 and received a degree in Accounting from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA in 1975. I spent almost 31 years as an auditor for the State of Louisiana, with 26 years as an external auditor and 5 years as the internal auditor for LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA. After retirement, I ventured out and tried dealing cards at a casino for 2 1/2 years. Now I am back to being just retired. I have 2 children, a son living in Atlanta, Georgia and a daughter living in Jacksonville, Florida.

When I joined UB: It’s inception, 2003
My fishing started at the age of 6 with guidance from my father and I have been fishing ever since. Living most of my life in Baton Rouge, LA, I spent a lot of time fishing the southern part of the state; especially the Spillway. When I relocated to northwest Louisiana, I found myself in the middle of great bass fishing. There were about 7 bodies of water within an hour drive of my house, but my favorite places were Cypress and Black Bayou Reservoirs in Benton, LA. Historically I have spent approximately 75 to 100 days per year fishing, but that has dropped over the past couple of years. Hopefully I’ll be on the water in Florida trying to learn the area.
Tournament fishing began with an open tournament in college. Since then, I have fished in 4 different clubs and in 6 different local circuits. I also fish open tournaments as often as possible. During my fishing career, I have fished lakes in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. I’m a power fisherman, usually throwing a spinnerbait and covering as much water as possible. I have given up tournament fishing and now just fish for the fun of it.
