Power-Pole talks Classic numbers

JL Marine cordially invites you to visit us at Booths 2021/2121 during the Bassmaster Classic Outdoor Expo. The expo will be held March 1618th at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, SC. Come say “hello”, see what’s new, and this year you can even shop for Power-Pole apparel and accessories. We’d love to see you.

The 2018 Bassmaster Classic on Lake Hartwell should be one to remember. Here are some thoughts, memories and potential milestones to watch for this week in Greenville:

1 – Power-Pole XL – Rigged on Alton Jones, Sr.’s Skeeter when he became the first Power-Pole rigged competitor to win the Classic on Lake Hartwell in 2008.

1 – Chance for Brothers “Lee” Love – Jordan Lee (2017 Classic Champ) and brother Matt Lee will compete in the 2018 Classic. The only brothers in this field, but the fourth set of brothers to fish a Classic together. Tom and Don Mann (1975), David and Kevin Johnson (1980) and Chris and Bobby Lane (2008, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016).

2 – Chances to be the first Classic Champion Brothers – If Bobby Lane or Matt Lee capture the 2018 Classic, they will become the first brothers to hold Bassmaster Classic titles. We are pulling for the Lane and the Lee families!

2 – South Carolinians – Casey Ashley and Jason Williamson have the opportunity to win a Classic in their home state. For Casey, it would be a repeat of his 2015 Classic win at Lake Hartwell.

3 – Classic Outdoor Expos in Greenville for JL Marine – Our first Power-Pole exhibit booth in Greenville was 100 sq. ft. in 2008 when Alton Jones Sr. won. When Casey Ashley took the title in 2015, we had 400 sq. ft. of exhibit space. For 2018 we have booth space totaling 1400 sq. ft. and we‘re an Official Sponsor of the Bassmaster Classic. We would like to thank you and the Classic competitors for being a part of our growth and success.

9 – Power-Pole equipped Classic Champions in the past ten Classics – We greatly appreciate the support of these dedicated Champions!

11 – Former Classic Champions in this year’s field – Two of these Classic Champs, Alton Jones, Sr. (2008) and Casey Ashley (2015) utilized Power-Pole shallow water anchors for their victories on Lake Hartwell. We’d double Power-Pole down on those odds!

14 – Classic rookies – Congratulations and best of luck to the fourteen first time Classic competitors. Take advantage of this opportunity of a lifetime. Have fun and good luck!

50th – B.A.S.S. Anniversary – Congratulations to B.A.S.S. for fifty years of pioneering in the bass (and boating) industry. Looking forward to fifty more!
