Matt Greenblatt Aligns with Denali Rods

Mountain Home, AR- Premium rod maker Denali Rods has announced the signing of Elite Series angler Matt Greenblatt, of Port St. Lucie, FL to their National Pro-Staff. Greenblatt is entering his fourth season on the Elites and after a couple years spent “learning the ropes,” he had his best season yet in 2012, cashing checks in half the events.

According to Greenblatt, it was actually a co-angler in a regional tournament that gave him his first exposure to Denali’s product. “I had a co-angler that was using some Denali rods and something about their look stuck out to me so I asked his opinion of them and he had nothing but good things to say. I’m kind of a tackle and rod guy anyway, so I asked him if I could mess around with one after the weigh-in for a few casts. I was immediately impressed, so when I went looking for a rod sponsor this season, I reached out to them right away.”

Though Greenblatt has only been with the company for a short time, he has been spending as much time as he can to familiarize himself with the lineup. “The first thing that has really stood out to me and the thing that made me want to use their rods in the first place was balance. There are a lot of companies out there that make sensitive rods, there are a lot of companies that make light rods, but the thing that’s hardest to get right is the balance, and Denali has that dialed in.”

Denali president Scott Estes is also happy to have Matt on the staff. “We are always looking to add tour-level anglers to the team, so when we heard that Matt was looking around it made sense to have a conversation. During the course of that conversation it became apparent that we are both looking to do some of the same things and we hope Matt builds upon his best Elite season ever in 2013.”

Founded in 2009, Denali has seen a rapid rise in sales and exposure despite a tough economy. That is a testament to the company’s dedication to quality, product development and customer support. Denali offers three complete lines of quality rods starting at $79.99 and their rods come with a limited lifetime warranty against material and workmanship defects.
