Lake Leon a Great little Lake that remains one of the best kept secrets in western central Texas. When you fish it the first time you will wonder why you weren’t here sooner.

Lake leon is located on the Leon river 68miles east of Abilene and 10 miles south of Eastland on FM 2214. Lake access is from two ramps. Chock-a-block is located on FM 2214 and has a Courtesy dock , Picnic areas, and restroom faciities. The Dam ramp is located on FM 2461 and has Ramps, Courtesy docks,Fishing dock with handicap access and Live bait. Both ramps are controlled By the eastland county water district and a launch fee is required.

The lake is relatively small for a Texas Resevior at on 756 acres, but it is full of Fish! Forty to fifty fish days are not uncommon when the bite is on.

The lake offers a variety of Structure and cover. No mattrer what your fishing style, Lake Leon is the place for you! The structure of this lake offers everything fom sandy flats to steep roccky bluffs nd everything in Between. Cover is mostly Stumps and Brush, bullrushes and boatdocks. But there is water willow available when the lake is Full, Mostly in the mouth of the river.

Navigating the Lake can be tricky Due to all the standing timber and no marked Boatlanes. So use caution untill you get to know the lake.
