Day 1 of the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open on Ross Barnett is underway as 175 boats will compete for pro and co-angler prizes this week in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
Rain is expected to hit the area around 8:30 to 9 a.m. and the winds will pick up as well. I have a feeling some good fish catching will happen early today before the front moves through and the temperatures cool down throughout the day.
