Well-known Georgia bass angler Pam Martin-Wells used Tru-Tungsten weights to flip and pitch her way to victory in the first Womens Bassmaster Tour Championship on Alabamas Lake Mitchell.
Over the course of the three day competition she punched plastics Waves Tiki-Sticks, Tiki-Lizards and Baby Brush Hogs into thick cover to boat a total of 15 bass weighing 38 pounds, 7 ounces. That weight was enough to defeat second place finisher Sheri Glasgow by more than 7 pounds.
The stuff I was fishing was very thick. I needed something heavy and tough and small to get through it so I could get my bait down to the fish. I choose a 1 ounce Tru-Tungsten weight, says the history making angler.
