Colby Schrumpf of Highland, Ill., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 10 ounces Saturday, May, 1, 2010 to win $3,545 in the FLW BFL Illini Division tournament on Rend Lake. He was fishing the Gum Creek area in 8-10 feet of water catching suspended fish with crankbaits.

Greg Mullins of Mt. Vernon, Ill., caught four bass weighing 6 pounds, 15 ounces Saturday, May 1, 2010 to win $1,773 in the FLW BFL Illini Co-angler Division on Rend Lake. Mullins was flipping soft plastics into bushes on the north end of the lake.

The next BFL Illini Division tournament is scheduled for May 22, at Lake Shelbyville in Shelbyville, Ill. After the fifth Illini Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky.,on Oct. 7-9, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
