Paul Malone of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, caught a 5-bass limit weighing 18 pounds, 8 ounces Saturday, May 15, 2010 to win $4,830 in the FLW BFL Great Lakes Division tournament on the Mississippi River near La Crosse, Wis. He was swimming a jig through weed clumps under cloudy skies to sack his limit.

The next BFL Great Lakes Division tournament is scheduled for June 19, at Lake Winneconne in Winneconne, Wis. After the fifth Great Lakes Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Ky., Oct. 21-23, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
