1982
In 1982, Nixon won two events, one on Lake Bistineau and the other on the Ohio River, to take his second AOY title. In 12 seasons between 1977 and 1988, Nixon never ranked lower than eighth in AOY. For nine of those years, from 1979 to 1987, he was in the Top 5. It’s the best AOY run anyone has ever posted.
