The Toyota Texas Bass Classic, a world-class professional bass fishing tournament and music festival, is less than two weeks away from its debut on Lake Conroe. This unique event, with a focus on conservation, brings in 60 of the most elite anglers from around the world for three days of tournament fishing. In addition, fans can enjoy numerous activities from the event site including three days of country music concerts headlined by Pat Green and also featuring Josh Turner, Julianne Hough, Zona Jones and the Kyle Hunt Band. The event takes place October 16 18 in the Buffalo Springs development in Montgomery, Texas.
All concerts, weigh-ins and expo area displays, giveaways and clinics will require a daily ticket that can be purchased for $10 a day in advance. At the gate, ticket prices will increase to $20 per day for Saturday or Sunday. The ticketed activities will be held in Buffalo Springs, a planned development located immediately off of Highway 105, one mile east of FM-149 Road and 14 miles west of I-45 in Montgomery. Fans can purchase advance discounted tickets online at www.toyotatexasbassclassic.com until Thursday, October 15 at 5:00 p.m. After that time, tickets can only be purchased at the tournament main gate within Buffalo Springs for the full gate price.
Morning boat launches will take place at Papas On the Lake located at 14632 Highway 105 West in Montgomery. The boat launches are free to the public. Papas On the Lake is located seven miles from the event venue in Buffalo Springs.
Online ticket buyers can save $10 by purchasing prior to October 15. In addition, online buyers have the added convenience of avoiding ticket lines and printing tickets at home.
For the first year, the TTBC is positioned as the world championship of the Professional Anglers Association (PAA) Tournament Series and the format will be an individual angling competition, making the event a true world championship. The field will be comprised of 60 anglers, all qualified members of the PAA who earn spots based on PAA Tournament Series finishes or other merits.
The Toyota Texas Bass Classic is sanctioned by the Professional Anglers Association with technical assistance and support from Texas Parks and Wildlife Departments Inland Fisheries Division. Title sponsor for the event is Toyota. Dicks Sporting Goods is the official sporting goods provider. The Saturday Concert is presented by Evan Williams, the official bourbon of the TTBC.
