Lake Oneida, N.Y. – In celebration of Randy Howell’s excellent season and Angler of the Year run, which culminates this week on Lake Oneida, King’s Home and Howell are offering a free t-shirt with all donations. With a $100 donation to King’s home you will receive a chance to win Randy Howell’s 2012 Triton Boats Mercury Marine tour boat named “Hope II”. The value of “Hope II” is over $70,000 including the ATX Series wheel package, dual Power Poles, Lowrance HDS electronics and a Motorguide trolling motor, all set up exactly as Howell fished it throughout the 2012 season.
Howell is currently in eighth place in the Angler of the Year race that wraps up this Sunday from Lake Oneida, New York, the final event for the 2012 Bassmaster Elite Series Tour. “It’s going to have to really fall into place for me to win the AOY. I am not expecting that to happen. The anglers ahead of me right now are just too good for them all to falter. I am just going to head out to win this event and see how the rest falls into place,” explained Howell. “I am very excited to get out after this event and promote the King’s Home charity, along with my other sponsors. I have many speaking engagements set up and I enjoy getting out there and talking fishing with other anglers, while at the same time spreading the word about the amazing people of King’s Home.”
Once again King’s Home along with Howell and his wife Robin are excited for this years giveaway, “Last year we had over 900 donations and this year we have added some extra features to the boat including the gorgeous ATX Series wheel package and the latest Power Poles available. Of course, it’s a fast boat and it’s been a lucky boat, too. I hope it can be as lucky for the winner as it has been for me this year.”
Every donation this week through Monday morning at 9:00 AM CST will also receive an autographed Randy Howell King’s Home t-shirt with every $100 donation. Donations are accepted through Paypal via a link from the KingsHome.com website. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Please be sure to include your t-shirt size in the notes of the order. If you don’t want the t-shirt to be autographed, please note that as well. Personalized autographs can be accommodated as well. Please note who you would like it signed to – it’ll make a great gift.
All proceeds will go to the nonprofit, Christian-based organization, King’s Home, which provides homes and services to at-risk youth, women, and mothers and their children. “Where Hope Lives” is the group’s slogan — wording that stretches across Howell’s wrap design.
“Triton Boats, Mercury Marine and I have worked out a deal so we could give the boat away. Both Triton Boats and Mercury Marine have really helped this fundraiser a lot,” Howell said. Normally, he’d exchange the boat for a new model at the end of a season, but giving the boat away for the purpose of raising money for King’s Home is something Howell takes great pride in. “Helping the King’s Home families is a big part of my year. I look forward to visiting their campuses and spending time with them. I think I get more out of it than they do, but I know they appreciate my visits and its always good to teach the kids how to fish when I get the opportunity.”
The drawing for the boat will be held on November 18, 2012 at the Kampfire for the Kings extravaganza that includes Christian bands, a fishing rodeo and many games for the kids at their Chelsea campus near Birmingham, Alabama. Everyone is invited to attend, but you do not need to be present to win the boat.
