Premier Japanese lure maker signs Grant Goldbeck to their 2014 pro roster. DUO /Realis welcomes the Texas pro’s aptitude about Japanese techniques and lures. Goldbeck has been a student of JDM (Japan Domestic Market) since the 90s.
“I am ecstatic to work with DUO. It’s no secret, DUO is one of the only completely vertical JDM companies in Japan (no outsourcing) and their product line is very sophisticated. I am also very familiar with the tournament finesse technique, Spybaiting and I will leave it at that…”, purports the Elite angler.
“I know these guys don’t need my help. They make some of the most innovative, functional arsenal around. Another reason I pursued DUO, I heard they picked up David Swendseid as Specialist and R&D Manager. He’s helped companies like Jackall, and others into the national market. With ‘big guns’ like Roy Hawk, Kevin Hawk, Greg Gutierrez, Mike Stiles, and Casey Martin they will make their own foot print in the industry”.
Martin Bakos, who manages DUO’s international logistics, expressed his pleasure in acquiring Goldbeck. “Grant comes with extensive references. He is professional and puts others before himself. He is a very competent angler and possesses the innate ability to align with a company’s vision and produce measurable results” stated Bakos.
Goldbeck’s total career earnings exceed $600,000.00 accumulated over several circuits. Goldbeck will be fishing the 2014 BASSMASTER Elite Tour, representing DUO’s Realis USA. Many believe this could be Grant’s year.
