Bayou Outdoors, INC. & Cenla Bassmasters Of Alexandria, Louisiana B.A.S.S. Federation Chapter Presents the Hooked on V&M Bass Fishing Tournament. The tournament will be an open team tournament held on May 28, 2005 on the Red River. The launch site is the Grand Ecore Landing. This is the real deal, they are guaranteeing $20,000 in payout to the top 15 teams as well as big fish money. there will be a Pre-tournament registration at the Grand Ecore Landing Pavilion from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on May 27, 2005. At least one team member must be present. Take off will be based on receipt of entry forms, so make sure you get your entry in as soon as possible. Natchitoches, Louisiana…Live music, great food, arts and crafts, and much more will take place in Natchitoches on Memorial Day weekend.
The Bayou Outdoors Festival, centered around its fishing tournament, will also feature live music, great food, a variety of vendors, and an appearance by Tony Chachere. The festival will host a bass tournament on the Red River, and a casting contest for children along the Cane River Lake. A boat show will also take place along the riverfront. Tony Chachere will also be on hand to promote his famous seasonings and host cooking demonstrations. The festival, which is free to the public, will take place along the Natchitoches riverbank Saturday, May 28th, from 9 am to 11 pm. The Cane River Arts and Crafts show will also take place on Saturday, May 28th. Artisans will display creations from mosaics, jewelry, and stained glass, to custom slipcovers, birdhouses, and weavings. The art will be on display at the Natchitoches Arts Center on Second Street from 10 am to 6 pm. There is no charge for admission.
In addition to the Bayou Outdoors Festival, the Cane River Green Market will also take place along the riverfront. Saturday, May 28th, from 9 am to 1 pm, the Green Market will offer plenty of fresh vegetables, homemade jams and jellies, breads, and various arts and crafts with live music provided by Monty and Marsha Brown.
