FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 6, 2007 – As the first week of fall officially gets underway, anglers will be arriving in Del Rio, Texas for Tour Stop # 3 of the Bassmaster Open – Central Division on Lake Amistad. Known for it’s big bass and crystal clear water, Amistad has become a favorite lake to fish for many as earlier this year it produced record weights for the Elite Series and the Women’s Bassmaster Tour. The potential for more records to be broken will make this September 27 – 29 event even more exciting as fans watch the daily weigh-ins live on www.espnoutdoors.com starting around 2:30 p.m. EST. Bags exceeding 30 lbs with 5 fish are not uncommon on Lake Amistad. This event is huge as the Top 3 pro anglers in points in the Central Division will secure berths in the 2008 Classic in Greenville, South Carolina. The Top 5 pro anglers will qualify for the 2008 Elite Series. Brian Clark of Haltom, Texas is the points leader going into this tournament. Danny Smith of Monterey, Louisiana is currently ranked 4th.
