Hope this is violating any rules.

There is an ad in the Frederick, MD section of Craigslist for a 12ft anglers kayak, for $750.  It is the same brand kayak I just recently suggested on this site, and it goes new for $450, at full price...the Field & Stream Eagle Talon.  There are a couple extras with this USED kayak...a homemade motor mount and some tackle boxes....but not $300+ in extras.

I know when we sell our boats, we want to try and break even, or even make a profit if possible, but most times we have to deal with depreciation...even with kayaks.

Hopefully, this poster is just listing at $750, in hopes of getting $400....you do have some people that really like to haggle when buying stuff off Craigslist.  But, to me, it just seems like this guy is trolling for a sucker.....don't be that sucker.  Do your research and pay a fair price.
Yes, that is a gator in my profile picture, but I was trying to catch a bass, so it counts!
One 3ft long, 10 pound "Largemouth" for me.

Thanks for the look out. I always do research before buying stuff anyway but I know a lot of people don't. You are right, this seller is probably hoping to find a sucker.

You certainly didn't violate any rules here, it is great that you are looking out for the members here. We don't allow people to come in and bash a company because of a bad experience that they had, we ask them to go to that companie's customer service.

However here you are only warning of a possible scam on the Craigslist site which isn't bashing by any means, just informing and as long as that is how it stays we are all good.

You might consider posting a link in the kayak board back to this thread since the information is directly related and might help someone there tremendously.

Thanks.  Good to know I'm in the clear!  Thought about posting it in the kayak section, but didn't wanna plaster it all over the place if it was a violation.

No problem.  I'm sure many of you would have posted it if you'd found it.
