C rigged or on a shakey footbal headed jig...one that swings around independent of the hook.  Drag the only about 4in at a time with rod to the side.  Set hook to the side.
You can't catch them on the couch!!

I fish them Texas rigged with anywhere from 1/8 to 1/2 oz bullet weights and do a few small lifts/ drops at a time, imitating a crawfish.

I fish mine like TreyB55.

I have had my best luck with them on a 4/0 TroKar flippin' hook on 17 pound Vicious flurocarbon flipping it in laydowns and such. Alot like a jig. Anywhere from 1/8 to 1/2 and have even fished them weightless.

there really isnt a bad way to fish it.  It's a very versatile bait.  You can t-rig it, c-rig it, or throw it weightless..  I've caught fish dragging it over rocks, casting at trees, and pulling it through grass.   Your mind is the only thing that will prevent it from working.

The brush hog is a very versatile, very effective bait. You can fish it Texas rigged, Carolina rigged, on a shakey head, I even cut it down and use it as a jig trailer sometimes.  Any way to rig it you can think of will probably work.

Love Brush Hogs.  Baby Brush Hogs will really get you numbers.  I fish them Texas rigged.  I generally will lift the bait a little and let it fall and twitch it a couple of times, then sit for a few seconds.  The fall of the bait puts great action in the tails to intrigue the bass.  However, practically any technique can give you results.  I use 1/4 oz weight.  5/0 for Brush Hog, and 3/0 for Baby Brush Hog.  Good luck.

Me too... Texas rigged with a 3/16 oz flipping weight and a 2/0 trokar hook for baby brush hogs... Regular brush hogs I use a 1/4 flipping weight witha 4/0 trokar flipping hook.

I fish them texas rigged.  Pitching and flipping them quitely in laydowns, trees, docks as well as punching them through vegitation with 1/2oz weight or more.  A Brush hog is a staple in the bass fishing world and I use it and a beaver for the majority of my soft plastic flipping.   I even cut them in half and used the bottom half as a jig tailer...works very well

***You have brush hogs and baby brush hogs... I usually use a 4/0 to 5/0 hook depending on which size

I've used them Trigged, C-rigged, and recently used them on the Jika rig, they work very well.

The Zoom Brush Hog can be fished just about any way you'd like. I'll save the repeat on the other techniques and give you a few special ways I've seen it fished. One way, and the way I use it mostly, is on a football shakey head. When I fished as a Co-Angler I had a pro show me this technique. I quickly found it could be flipped, pitched, skipped, fished in open water or dropped vertically on bass. It caught as many fish as the drop-shot for me. The other neat way I saw it fished was by an angler who punched it. He took off all the appendages except the two large flapping pinchers. The arm appendages and long curl tail legs were removed and he used this for punching. It crushed them.
