Theres always that chance.  Who know what might be announced at the summer dealers meeting?  What would be your guess?  Hmmm......   >:D >:D >:D

I don't have a clue but inquiring minds want to know.   ;)

Making cheaper boats?

Well what would you want to see?  You know BassCat could be lurking over here now and you never know.

YarCraft retooling and set up took too much time this past year. We won't see any new major changes IMO. Minor equipment changes and a price increase will be it. Fly that new P5 ain't ready yet.

Bama,

Yea,  I figured as much.  However,  I am in good hands with my SabreFTD.  I already am impressed with the power and performance I have experienced with my skit, scat, scoot SabreFTD so I'm extremely content with my current setup.  Heck, no P5 at least in my reality?  >:D lo   Then maybe a 175SHO to spice things up at the end of the year?   >:D ~gf  As prices for gas continue to go up with misleading trends coming back down that new SHO is gonna be offering new Gamechanging MPG break through for potential consumers.  IMO this is going to open some eyes when these four cylinder SHOs are released.   Boaters will get the same type of speed/torque performance but experience 30% more gas mileage performance.   :shocking: :shocking: :shocking: Now that is what I am waiting to see.  If it's true this is really going to help fisherman deal with rising gas pump costs because gas prices are not going to trend down over the next five years.   Unfortunately,  I think $4 per gallon gas is going to become the norm.   ~rant ~rant ~rant

Additionally,  after having the SHO four stroke, you know this too,  not having to add oil is something I miss after going back to a two stroke.  Now my two stroke is a great engine as well as all other two strokes but that little difference is more noticeable then people think. Potential messy spills on carpet or in battery compartment areas is real with a two stroke (personal experience).  Not the case with four strokes.

As the four stroke migration continues to extend past the SHO....

There's something out there for Merc fans to adopt in the 150HP class too.  I know if my dealer had that motor to offer when I purchased my SabreFTD i would have bit on it.  It's available now just not at my dealer.  Don't get me wrong I'm HPDI all the way but that Merc offering is impressive.  Just saying if he had I would have bought it.    That BA Merc offers the same motor benefits I mentioned above.  I would think the 150 black hat fans would be all over this motor for their 18' class boats.  Go get some.   ~beer~   What has me vexed is the lacking internet energy with Merc's new 150 four stroke....     What up with that?   That is a major positive break through IMO.  From what I have seen this is a very impressive motor for those who prefer 18' bass boat.  The new four stroke powerplant is strong like their 150 two stroke siblings, maybe stronger,  but the potential owner gets benefits like reduce cost for oil and engine life durability (major positives) that will exceed past two stroke life spans.   I know that gets my attention.   Enough,  i know, but what the heck if you're not fishing what else is there to do.   :)

Unless RP surprises us, I do not see any significant changes for at least 2 years.  As Bama pointed out, there is some retooling required for the YarCraft acquisition.  I anticipate the next 'major' change may be with outboard motors.

Tom (Flyswatter) mentioned he feels $4/gallon gas is here to stay.  Unfortunately I must agree with him.  We may see some fluctuations, but $3.50-$4.50 non-ethanol fuel is here, and it is probably here to stay.

As a former ER nurse, it is always good to be wrong.  I would gladly eat crow to see $2 to $2.50/ gallon gas, and would have no problem being called a jack##s or whatever you want to call me.  After the name calling, you can see smile all the way to the bank  >:D.

Best to everyone.

Yes,  it's up for sale now if it hasn't been sold.  You need to PM/confirm with texasbamabass.  It's worth checking into.

Good luck!

TexaBamaBass

Yes its for sale. Its a smokin hot boat! I want to move up to a 20ft boat with a 250. Fly has seen and driven mine, and he can vouch for it. Currently there is a guy on here very interested in it, we have communicated several times about it, but have not yet finalized anything. Hoping the deal goes through, if not its still there for someone.

I did over 71 on the GPS with Kelly and I in his boat during October cooler season.

Congrats to whoever gets it.

Dealer meeting is getting closer....  I wonder if there will be a refreshed 19' BassCat.  Is there room for a premium 19 BassCat (PIV)?
