Fished the Potomac after launching from Bell Haven Marina (I suppose that's technically Virginia) with a guide named Ken Penrod. Real good company and the biggest largemouth of my life. I used a gray and white stick air all day, my Dad was using watermelon. Therein held off and we caught probably 15 between the three of us. My dads fish weighed in at 6 1/4 pounds, which I didn't think would be beat. Then I hooked this bad boy, topping the scales at 7 pounds. Lots of fun today, highly recommend this guide.

Couple of slobs there!
Good job!

Ken certainly knows the Potomac, and he proved it getting you on those nice fish.   ~c~  If you ever happen to see it, pick up Ken Penrod's tidal Potomac river fishing bible.  Tough to find a copy these days...

If you went out this past weekend, it REALLY should resonate how well he knows the river.   You pull a day like that when the FLW has been POUNDING the potomac all week.  From what i understand, the FLW was posting great weights, but you guys would have won the day with your catches.

Well Ken is  a legend on the Potomac.

Sitting here in a room at the Gaylord National in National Harbor,MD at a conference right now -- anyone care to pick me up to wet a line?

Just kidding.

Saw two guys in a red skeeter fishing the boat dock right out front yesterday afternoon.  Saw them catch about a 13" flipping the docks.  Chunky looking fish.

Ken is legend on the Potomac, first rate guide and all around good man. Ken is writing his "new" Potomac River bible. Keep an eye out for it.

Did you see any snakeheads up the creek?
25 miles from the nest

We fished right near the Woodrow Wilson bridge. He said that while there were snakeheads there, it was full of them like other places. No we didn't see any, I actually asked him to try to get us one but he said chances weren't good where we were
