Ranger Commanche 518VX

Ive found a 2000 Model Ranger commanche 518VX Tha is in unreal condition. 19ft with a 94" beam and a 200HP Optimax(exactly what im looking for) Older fella bought it new and has had health problems for the past several years and hasnt used it much.  Its been stores in a custom boat house w/ climate control and has less than 225hrs.  He's sent detailed lpictures of the carpet, seats(not faded and doesnt even have a crease) wood grain steering column, storage, gel coating, motor, trolling motor, etc...  Litereally looks like its a new boat. 

***Granted, its a little older model that what Ive wanted, actually about 5 years older, but honestly its in better shape than any boat as new as a 2005 ive looked at.  He's asking $16,000 and I'm sure we negotiate.  What do you guys think?  I will post pics if you guys wanna see them to get a better understanding of what it looks like.

$16,000 sounds like a steal for the condition it's in.  I currently fish out of a Ranger, they are great boats.

I wasnt sure because of the model... I know commanche's are super nice boats and very exspensive, but thanks for your response.  I am probably going to go with this one...

That's how I ended up with my 518 Comanche ! Older gentlemen kept it a garage for 7 years that he owned it . He was the second owner and failing health , it was in mint condition with 338 hours on the motor he had all maintenance done on it even though he only took it out 5 times in 7 years , all the original paperwork even down to the original work up sheets for the sale ! I got it for almost $6 grand less than book value. Credit Union jumped on it and the rest is history !
I say if it's what you've been dreaming of and will make you happy go for it and congrats on a great find !

Here is a link to the website of the one in Ohio.  Same boat but has only like 100 more hours, but has all the electronics I want. the other doesnt have the electronics i want so I would have to buy them but it has less hours.  Decisions, decisions  .  Also, this boat has a 200HP Evinrude(Not an ETEC) and the one in Convigton has a 200HP Optimax.  The dealer is sending additional pics of the interior.  I know the old man in Covington, La has taken great care of the boat but the electronics is another $1000-$2000 i gotta spend and I wanna pput a power pole on it. 

***The dealer said the price is negotiable (currently priced at $15,995) and the other boat is $16,000(Ive offered him ($15,000)  Also the dealership has a driver that charges $1.35/mile but will meet me wherever.  you can see some stains on the carpet under the driver side console on this boat, theres not a stain or anything on the old man's boat.... It literally looks brand new, its just the extras that are holding me back... I think if the old man will take 15k im gonna go with his

That blue 518 and the Z21 are SWEET ! Hmmmm maybe I could get into a 21 pretty reasonable if I sold mine .   Sounds like you have a lot of options to choose from though. Good luck with whatever choice you make !

Nice boats, I own a 202 518 and i got it last fall, if you can hold out till fall you will get the boat u want for a lot less money, this is prime time of the year. have it checked and take it for a spin and welcome to the ranger family.

I saw a similar post on craigslist and it was a crazy deal...  It was a SGT. in the marines i think.  They would email me but not call.
