Calcasieu River Feb. 29-Mar 1

Hey everyone,

Water seems to be back to almost normal on the Calcasieu.  I was wondering if anyone has been out there recently, I'm planning on going out there tomorrow or Thursday afternoon.  Hopefully I can intercept some prespawners or find some nice sized females on their beds.  I'm just planning on staying close to Lake Charles in some bays or backwaters in the kayak.  Any advice is welcome! (My coaching season is over and I can fish now!!!)

Should be pretty good with the warm weather. The main river still has some strong current but everything else is looking good.

Thanks Jared, I'll be making sure I pack my squarebill cranks and some soft plastics for flipping, you have anything else you wouldn't leave without?

Thought you guys were so big and bad on your home water you wouldn't be scared to openly share info with someone who's never been on that body of water ? Guess the truth is in the pudding!
