If you look in the last photo, the bass I am holding appears tohave a smaller mouth than the other one. Most of the bass I have seen in the lake (andonly this lake) appear to have much smaller mouths than the bass in other Korean lakes. Would you say that these are spotted bass, or other reason??

Those are some healthy looking bass there.

   Steve Kentucky or spotted bass have a tooth patch on the tounge. The upper jaw with the mouth closed comes to the middle of the eye. They have rows of dark spots on the lower portion of the body and often there is blotching of dark color above the lateral line.
   On a largemouth the upper jaw with the mouth closed extends well past the back of the eye. There is no tooth patch on the tounge.

CPR! I have heard about the toothy tongue before, but in all my excitement of catching my first bass of the year and first on the a-rig, I completely forgot to check. There is another tournament at this lake in March, I will check again then.

   Yours does look like a spot though. I see some spots below the lateral line but there should be rows of them can't really tell from the pic's .

Nice fish! Realy nice fish if its a spot! Did he fight a little bigger than he was? That's one way to tell. Lol

Actually yes, despite the cold water temps, he did fight good!

Surprisingly, it was not as bad as I expected and I threw the 5 wire version for 2 days solid.
