Lake Bistineau, Feb. 18th/RESULTS

Our next event will be on Lake Bistineau, Feb. 18th, out of Plum Orchard Marina. Take-off is scheduled for 6:30am, I'll close registration at 6:15. Hope to see everyone there!

If you have been on Lake Bistineau (even for a test drive) since Wednesday (2/15) at dark, then you are not eligible to fish our event.  Everyone must bring their fishing license/driver's license to registration also...if you don't have both, you will not be able to enter.

We had 23 teams show up for this cold/rainy tournament, we also signed up 31 new members. I want to apologize for not posting the results earlier, but we had some discrepancies with the payout/places...and I wanted to discuss it with everyone involved before posting anything. I made a mistake and wrote down a team's weight correctly, but it got smudged during weigh-in and when tallying the places I shorted the winning team by 1/2 pound. It was clearly my mistake and I attempted to allow the mistake to be corrected by the team which had benefited from the mistake, which didn't happen. Here are the CORRECT weights and places, if the money payout seems off...then you see the dilemma. Here are the results:

Our next event will be our 2 Day Combined tournament (with TX Poormans) at Caddo Lake, on March 10th and 11th. Registration and weigh-in will be at Shady Acres Marina, with registration beginning at 4:00am and ending at 5:15am...on Saturday only. This is a double-entry-fee ($120/team) tournament and payouts will be determined by the two-day accumulated weights for each team. There will be a Big Bass Pot paid each day ($10 X # of boats) of the tournament. There will be also be the optional fee of $10 (for both days) for the 7 Pound Pot, which will pay out to the biggest fish (over 7 pounds) caught during this entire tournament, for those eligible to get in on this pot (see website for details).

Again, sorry for the mistake that I made in the Bistineau tournament and I thank the team, that was slighted by my mistake, for being so gracious and forgiving.
