My biggest to date is only estimated at about 4-1/2 lbs. but I remember it well. She nailed a black/gold Rattlin' Rogue on the first twitch after it sat still for about 2-3 minutes while I cleared a backlash.

lol a 5 lb, when learning to through a baitcaster using a white micro pond buzz bait. got a backlash and soon as i fixed it and buzz hit the top of the water BAM,...  i then new i was hooked

I don't think you could have picked a harder lure to throw on a baitcaster to learn with.

Caught this one Tn side of S.Holston July 2010 iirc was like 105 degrees and to be honest I wanted to get off the water ! Last cast of the day up under a tree root ball that fell over in the water using a strike king white spinner blade. I didn't weigh it or measure it was about to let it go and hightail it back to our camper and Tammy made me take this picture 😃  I think I was on the verge of heat stroke cause I wasn't thinking right ! Don't know what it would have went!

However much this one weighed, caught on a 1oz weight and a black neon Yum Wolly Hawgtail.  My 4th pitch ever with a punching weight....know why I'm hooked
The one in my avatar is the second biggest I've ever caught and got it the same day on a blue/chrome Game Vibe.
