It's that time of year, getting the boat restocked and thinking about Spring!  This is like Thanksgiving turkey for the Bait Monkey.  We know he is on your back, whispering in your ear...What is he telling you to buy?

Well it aint really baits he's whispering to me, its getting Easy Step for the boat so that its easier to get in it when I am by my self fishing. I am going to pull the trigger on it.

Well when I want something I go get it so I stay pretty stocked up for the most part. I did just buy 100 packs of zoom super hogs, brushhogs, finesse worms and super chunck for 100 bucks. Will I use them all?? Sure over time. Just a good deal and hard to pass up.

A fellow Pro Staffer for Dobyns had a friend that closed down his tackle shop and he was getting rid of everything cheap. When I finally found out he had about 600 bags of plastics left so I bought what I would use.

Already started ordering plastics for the beginning of the year, didn't bother stocking up since I plan on moving real soon. Putting in a jig order today, then looking at some new Power Pro original and Slick 8.

jumped on my back yesterday.  pulled the trigger on a Curado 200E7....'needed' one more.  and figured to get it before I couldn't...

and I think there's a 'punch' rod in the near future as well...

I just hit a Jig deal like Gullo I bought a bunch on a close out deal spent way to much money and had a couple of monkey attacks on some deep diving crank baits and another attack on some swim baits
Then thought what if I get hung up alot with the A-rig so I bought 30 more of those I dont like the ones I make I think its a mental thing
Another word I have been getting attacked by the monkey there was more in the last 2 weeks alot of random stuff

I just recieved two Shimano Compre casting rods and a St Croix Eyecon spinning rod. John at Baitbar.com built me a rack to hold my plano boxes. another order from TW in a few weeks. now if I can just get thru the winter.

Need to pick up another crankbait rod, and worm rod, and rattletrap rod.  I broke three rods in one week in October last year...     Talk about a bad week...

Then I need to get the reels all cleaned, and new line for the year.

Need to stock up on abrazx, power pro, wooly hawgtails, senkos, baby brush hogs, omega jigs, damiki air craws, rage craws, and completely replace my weights with tungsten.  Also need, er want, the Dobyns mike long jig rod, DX795, and a couple more revo stx reels.  Actually don't need any of it right now but after my trip to the south in march I plan on needing it all. O:-)

right now its real quite...I even made it to BPS to buy a new gas tank for my boat and only bought 1 redeye shad, one thing of line. Though I did just get 5 bags of roboworms.

I do have my eyes set on another dobyns rod i will order in the next two-three weeks!

This is the time of the year I start creating mock orders. I love sites that allow you to leave a full cart of a "wish list". I start working my way through the site and compiling a shopping cart of goodies. Then I place a couple orders a month with a $100 value or so, this breaks up the big purchases.

I have been loading up on the "new for 2012" gear, get it before the season starts so I dont have out of stock issues.

This year I think I will be spending some more time and money on jigs, as well as jerkbaits. Bought a few up already.

The bait monkey recently talked to me about needing to stock up on flukes,spnnerbaits and maybe a few a rigs. The wife hates it when the bait monkey calls, and in turn I generally hate it later because his cousin the shoe monkey, or purse monkey comes to visit soon after.

Last couple of years I have thrown mostly cranks, jerk baits and spinners. The bait monkey is telling me to stock up on plastics and go back to throwing more of that. Big worms deep and beavers, maybe some top water for fun.
