If you were coming out of Shreveport and were gonna fish in the general area of Potters Point whre would be the best place to launch so you didnt have to travel as far across the lake.

You have a few choices, 1. you can go up hywy 1 to Oil City and take a left at the E-Z Mart launch at Shady Acres run the E boatlane to the C on to Potters, 2. go up 169 out of Greenwood to left at Blanchard-Latex to right on State Line Road launch at Collier's run the G boatlane to C Millers Point/Potters point and 3. go up 9 out of Waskom launch at Tucker's run the F boatlane to the K run to Potters Point. Lake is still low be careful and I'm not sure you can use Collier's or Tucker's, Shady Acre is good

Thanks for the info. Shady Acres looks to be my best bet, but a fellow i work with said he wasnt sure if it was still open.

Tuckers is fine as well. I launched at Pelican Monday after spending the morning on Hosston and ran boat roads out on main lake as usual.

Shady Acres never closed.  Kool Point seems to reopen sometimes and let some folks launch but not dependable.
I think Shady Rest may now be open too but haven't tried the launch - may be an adventure.
