I have a Lowrance 522 gps in my boat with the Navionics Platinum.  Its good for most lakes, but there a couple of lakes that show up, but with no detail.  Bistineau and Grand Bayou.  What card does everyone have that shows these lakes?  Is there something I need to do to show detail(boat roads and depth) for these lakes?  Possibly a downloadable upgrade?  Or, should I get a different card?

I don't know of any cards that have these lakes on them.

My GPS map shows all the names of areas, points and launches on Bistineau but no boat rows. I think the best thing to do there is to get with someone who know the lake well and follow them from the dam to the State park or even the Port, then save the "tracks" on your unit hard drive. Just a thought.
My GPS doesn't show anything for GBayou.

My navionics iphone app doesnt show anything for Jeems on Caddo.  Does the Navionics cards show boat roads, depth, or point names?

Make sure your unit is reading off card. While on the chart page, hit menu and I believe settings is at the bottom of pop up menu, select that and u will see a drop menu that will say lowrance or navionics. It should say navionics if using card. I don't think navionics has much on there. Last sat at fruit jar I changed mine back to lowrance and it had the main channel/river (sort of speak) outlined with names of islands and places.

Have you looked into the lakemaster series? I have found lakes on their chip which are not on the navionics chip. Seems like I will have to purchase both to cover all the waters I fish.

That's the problem with map cards. You only get the lake they feel like mapping. They normally just hit the "popular" lakes, Caddo and the River for instance. Haven't seen much more info on my Navionics Platinum card. I will call whichever company I buy my next card from and get a list of the lakes that are included. IMO, the platinum card was a waste of money if you just fish locally.

Literally, the lakes I'm talking about are 3 miles apart.

When I got home from work today, I hooked up my gps on the boat and changed it to Lowrance from the card, and everything is on there but the boat rows.  Thanks for the advice, I probably would not have thought about changing it over.

I was wrong about which card I have.  I actually have the premium.  BTW, if anyone needs a custom water proof paper map made, PM me and I can hook you up with a guy down south that does a great job.  If anyone here is fishing the TCTC this Sunday, I can show you the one I had made for Cross.
