If anyone fishes or hunts on Bistineau be on the lookout for a decoy spread full if Herrera Model 72s.  They were stolen in the rain on Monday on the south end(Peggy's Island).  The decoys were from one of our camp blinds.  The thieves came from the dam area.  Any info will help.

I hate chit like that! Sorry to hear about it. Were they marked with your info?

Ballsie to steal a whole spread.  ~rant By chance can you post a pick of one (not a decoy LOL but the brand of yours) is there identifying on them? Tournament fisherman are always getting in the way of duck hunters and we might just be able to help.

Here is an example of those model deeks. Not easy to come by nor are they cheap. Did you have your name on the bottom of them all?

I hunt around westwood area & there were some decoys stolen out of a couple different spreads about a month ago. The sheriff dept was called to make a report. We think it was someone that lives on the lake because no one has seen anyone with decoys at the ramps.

I do not duck hunt but I am not sure that if I leave my stuff out there, I would expect it to be there when I returned! Don't get me wrong, I do not condone messing with other peoples stuff, but in this day and time, I would actually expect stuff left behind to come up missing.

We found the decoys and the thieves. Two 16 year olds.  They were actually using them at their blind.

Glad you found them. I have lost a lot of decoys over the years myself, most of them were turned in to the local DNR office because they had my name on the bottom. But, the ones that I know were stolen never returned.

All my decoys are branded now with a 3" B on the bottom as well as my name written on the bottom in a different spot.

We hunt right up from you at Millers cut. Learned a long time ago not to leave anything out while youre not there. We put ours out every morning we hunt. Just the way it is I guess, shouldnt be.
