Interesting with the trailering :-* Is this because of water levels? Or trying a new twist to the game?

going to have to do some figuring on this one to see if it overlaps the BWS Arkansas this year.

well...Bistineau and Caddo are always trailer events. Cross is usually a launch anywhere and then come to the American legion to get poker chip but there aren't a lot of places for people to pull up under normal conditions at american legion without tearing up boats so we decided to do it that way this year...For the Red River May tourney, it will open up pool 3 and 4 to people with smaller boats and be a little safer for those running south. I know fog is often an issue when running from pool 5-4. It's been fine up here and turn a bend in pool 4 and you can't see the trolling motor on the front of the boat. Just a twist.

we will have start/stop times....instructions or something like that well before each tournament.

You may want to talk to them about their date on Caddo, we'll have 70+ boats launching/weigh-in out of EG Williamson that morning.

I made tournament director aware of that...It might work out well for you though. If you are expecting 70, you might have quite a few more boats. A lot of RMTT guys might fish your tournament as well. Very few RMTT,if any boats will launch out of Earl G.

I don't think Poorman's allows double entries.  :-\

Yep, no Double-Dipping in Poormans...new rule this year, because our guys aren't required to release their fish...they can keep some to eat.  Since our fish are co-mingled with other anglers wanting to keeping fish to eat, it wouldn't be fair to another tournament where our guys are exchanging fish after our weigh-in.

Ours is also a trailering tournament, last year very few anglers launched at EG Williamson Ramp.

Todd, talked with Larry as did you and something might get worked out in the next month to ease the situation. I'm sure it will be worked out amicably.

Oh, I'm sure it will be...just didn't want a cluster**** at the ramp that morning and at weigh-in.  I looked on the Reeves website and didn't see the schedule posted, so I called Dennis to see if his schedule was set in stone yet.  Caddo is a big enough lake that we can ALL share, just going to be a little more hectic than I planned...but what's new.

Does that mean that the 2 day championship will be one day at river and second day at cross?
If you cast it. They will come.

That's correct

Just a question, why two lakes for the championship. seems a little difficult to plan for on both ends yours and anglers.

My partner has returned to Bossier and we will fish RMTT again !!!!!!!!! Like the schedule!!!!!!

Just the way it was decided to be. Not hard to plan for at all. Some people are tired of fishing river for championship or say the same ole folks win. This is somewhat of an equalizer lake.

Mike V

I agree, some are extremely strong on the river, some are extremely strong on Cross, some are extremely strong on both, some are good at both, some are good on one and not the other. Some  are good on one and bad on the other. At least there is a 60 day window to prepare for both and make a plan. This makes it much more competitive, my opinion.
