A lot of the newer boats are coming with more and more "tackle management" systems that are great and work extremely well.  One of them is the new hooks on the under side of the lids to hold your bags of worms, etc.  If you are like me, you have an older boat (or not as an expensive one, I have an alluminum unit) and these systems do you no good as you aren't going to buy a boat just for this new system.

Purchase a couple packs of 3M Command Strips Cord Bundlers.  The ones with the flexible loop that locks into the base.  They will hold up to 3lbs of material and you can hook anything you want to them, including packs of soft plastics, exactly like the new units.  The added bonus is if you decide to sell your boat you can remove them with no damage not to mention the fact you can put as many on as you want you want.

Tight lines all!

Great tip!!!  I never thought about using such a simple 3M product.  Do they hold in the heat though?  Once again great tip and I look forward to buying some.

That's an awesome tip! I'm going to have to get some. Do you have a pic of what they look like by chance?
Finally got a boat! Just in time for winter and ice!

I will try to get some pic's for you guys.  I don't keep the boat at my house so the next time I get it out to go fishing I will try and remember to take some pictures.  As far as holding in the heat, not 100% sure as I haven't had my boat long so not gone through the summer with them on yet.  I only have two right now to see how well they actually work in practice so if they don't hold I am not out anything.

A lot of guys use the Bait bar with shower hooks to hang bags from.

That looks pretty promising, and at a decent price too! By shower hooks, do you mean shower curtain hooks?

Is there a way to hang crankbaits on that bait bar?

Yes, cranks also hang on the bait bar (without the curtain hooks)  ;)

~c~  I like this Idea alot ! I have a biuddy who has a new Z9 and he has some sort of setup on his locker lids that have spring loaded clips and he just clips all the soft bait bags he is using at the time to it in a neat and orderly row Next time I get a chance to fish with him Ill see if he will let me snap a couple photos  ;D my lockers are plum full of plastics and it is a disorderly mess thats for sure !! Id like to come up with a setup where I can get everything on the new boat organised this is definitely a great tip  thanks !
Stop by the Garage and let me know if you have Maintenance issues that you need assistance with.

As the bait bar is a better method of accomplishing this, I will get some of those eventually.  But, I was asked for pictures so here ya go...

I used smaller ones like this to harness my wires and keep them together in my battery compartment

The Bait Bar looked like a great idea. Looks like he went out of business. Anyone know about this or another product that does the same thing ?
