the stern does squat so the bow does elevate more with the twins.Hole shot is better but not like a rocket. From plane to triple#'s good acceleration so far.I think we may have a chance with the kilo run.It will depend on how much room we have to get the beast rolling. We are working to dial in on everything, props, jack height, weight distribution...you know how that goes. This set up is exploring new grounds and will take many more hours to get it rite.Only 6 HRS on the New Motor. Lost a gear case on the new Motor(6HRS) at over 100mph.The boat (with my wife as passenger) just settled down like letting off the throttle. That was impressive. She was just upset because she wasn't driving :) We are expecting some pretty big #'s with this 2800LB Beast.
Here is a stat when i was giving a joy ride to some fellow members:
2800LB Beast that does not include the weight of:/Minnkota saltwater electric motor/4 batterries/50 gallons of go go juice/ cooler of ice and drinks 4/life vests/ 3 adult passengers with 1 of the passengers sitting on the front seat (front of the console) .........100+and more.

I don't think there is any class separation for the speed runs. There should be an unlimited class. Either a 700lbs
400 hp boat  or a 2800lb 600hp boat should not mater, just being a production bass boat. Whoever can keep it on the water at those speeds should be enough.  ~c~

The only thing I can think of that may put a kink in things is the twin motors.  Heck, either way it is going to be a great weekend of running.  It will be on Crescent Lake, so I would imagine there will be no more than 4 miles of lake to run.  It may be closer to three....

You must be swinging some massive props to get speeds like that out of the 300's! :o

Come on Mike...when you can afford to feed two of them 300's, you can just bolt on a new parachute each run... :roll2: :roll2:

The hi-po boys around here are looking at quite a few of us heading up that way for the weekend.  Should be a blast, heard a rumor of a turbine boat showing up for some practice runs.... ~shade
