Well ......Mike to start this off Spetro was nice enough to post a few pictures of my FastCat Hotrod.
This is some kind of a project rigging one of these boats with Twin 300x's ;)  Errol Lanier (the builder) is an amazing person and has worked very hard getting this rig set up. I am testing the rig and still working the kinks out. Performance is pretty good so far and is amazing how this boat handles the Big motors. Prior to this I had it rigged with a single 300X.  I would love to take you out for drive.I think you will be attending the Okeechobee event so am I. This boat has a huge fishing  platform.8' 6 beam practically front to back.
70 gallon stainless fuel tank.Seating for 5 (soon for 7),hydraulic jack plate(s),4 batteries,M/cota saltwater, bass pedestal seats, electric motor with remote, trim tabs,Lowrance GPS/Sounder/CD, and enough storage space for a lot of stuff.
The ride has to experienced to appreciate. The performance is pretty good to.

At first when I seen the twins on the back I though humm 150's maybe, would be pretty mean with 200's but OMG 300's  :shocking: I have heard a ton of stories about the stability of the ride in a fastcat but how can anything that size be stable with twin 300's pushing her :o :o

Tons of questions here  :-\ First one that comes to mind is do you run two hydraulic jack plates in unison or is it just one big one :-\

Mike,
The boat is a stable with twins as with a single, actually better at really high speed. There is more stuff in the water which makes the ride really comfortable.Ther are two separate hydraulic Detwiler jack plates. Each one has a dial indicator and the engine trim is also separated.

Grant..  I am considering the Kilo's in April....BuT what class?....Bass boat
super unlimited? Do I just show up for the Runs?

Not fast enough!!!!!!!! >:D I can whoop Brent with just one 300 on the back of my Bullet!!!!!!! aa

Just as long as we are running a 1/4 mile and I have 1/8 mile head start!! ~roflmao ~roflmao ~roflmao Louis

Boat looks just a bit different since I saw it last February :o.  I can't wait to see it run on Okeechobee.

AB

Brent, I don't really know.  I guess the main thing to check is what class would you be allowed in with twin engines?  For the bassboat class you are going to have to average 120 in the kilo.  Paul Nichols is talking about bringing his 17V Bullet down, it ran 121 during testing.  Last I heard, before he had the baby, he was going to do some lower unit stuff and a few more things to the motor.  But if it is windy it will be hard for him to compete.  Shook is supposed to bring his Ally down and from what I hear, breaking last years 118 record shouldn't be a problem for them.  Some members in this area are talking about piecing an Ally together and running it if they can get the areas top-notch ally jockey to drive it...Sam Baker is the one to talk to about this, I'll see if I can scrounge up his email addy and get it to ya....

Lou, you talkin about racin...Gee, even my little 175 rice burner can beat that big, bad 300X in the 1/4..... ~shade lo

Largemouthlou

Not if we are running then start!!! ~shade I wil conceed holeshot to ya,,,taterchip!! :roll2: :roll2: Louis

AB

Taterchip, are you calling me a lightweight? :roll2:

Brent, how's the holeshot on that thing with the twins?  Still flat and level like before, or is it more bow high at takeoff like a traditional back-end heavy basser?

spetro

Wen I rode with Brent....I felt some prop slip at hole shot.....(but what the heck do I know) When the props did grab......it was solid gold ~shade

Largemouthlou

The hole shot is a little more bow high, but your too 100 in a blink of the eye!!! Don't need much pos trim with the tunnel design and high motor heights either!!

And YES your a light weight in many areas!!!! ~roflmao ~roflmao ~beer~

Do ya feel the LUUUUUUVVVE ;D ~beer~ Louis
