I must admit - never used these heavy 1+ ounce spinnerbaits and would like some advice on their use.  Where and when are these effective?  What type of retrieve do you use?

Swede long cast and slow rolled along the bottom or deep ledges letting them fall again when you come off the ledge.

Must productive for me is a slow steady retrieve. Just fas enough to keep the blade spinning. The blades lift should keep it just off the bottom. Just like with a crank, the longer the cast the longer you'll stay in the strike zone.

So no big surprises - thanks guys....and you too butthead  lo  Got to thinking about these after catching many of our bass this past weekend off ledges on 1/2oz - 1oz spinnerbaits.  These ledges would start at 2ft and drop off into 30+ ft.  Some of the drops would be steep and others would stair-step with stumps enroute to deeper water.

Not any surprises, I did find that heavy equipment was a must to get a good hook set but that's about the only thing
