Nope, I favor neither of them. As I said before I just pointed out what I saw in his video. Besides both would be useless on my lakes here. The only time I am shallow enough to use either I am launching the boat.

I favor the power pole on a glass boat that's for sure. But i think the Talon on an aluminum boat would be suitable. I'd take one on my tracker.  ;D
Please do keep us updated on how the Talon holds up for you. Good luck and good fishing.

I put a Minn Kota Talon on my Tracker 175 TXW.  Works great!

Thx for the video.

I have a 6 foot PP on my 175 and shallow water anchors are one the the most useful tools you can have on ANY boat. They are especially helpful on tin boats in the wind. You will soon wonder how you ever fished without one.

BTW there is room for the pump in a 175. I also upgraded to a 24v TM and everything fits even the much larger 3 bank minnkota charger.

Congrats on the new toy. ~c~That is nice. Glad it's working for you. Keep us posted on how well it holds up.

Price was $1499 for the Talon and another $169 for the mount.  Cost me almost $200 to get it mounted.

I hope to get out a couple of times this weekend and I'll keep everyone updated on how it works and any issues I have with it.

Like SoFlnative says about his powerpole...I think after a couple of trips I'm going to wonder how I ever fished without one.

Very nice.  At that price though, I'd have to invest is a side imaging bird first.  Although down here in FL it would be very useful.  Jim
