~b~  Ok, I have really never had to fish a shaky head.  Well this weekend we had a club tourn on Lake Chicot.  Last year a shaky head is just about all the bass would bite.  So with that being said I went to my local bait shop and found Big Bite's squirrel tail worm.  I have always fished big bite baits like the Kriet Kreature, and Yo MOMa's.  But I now have a new favorite.  I caught 25-30 bass on this bait.  Even after it got hot later in the day the fish never quit !.  This bait is inexpensive and it works. It sounds like the way I sing their praises that I was sponsored by them.  Well I'm not (wish I were).  I you like to fish plastics you have got to try these.  With these baits being 30-40% cheaper than other brands what do you have to lose.  You'll get more fish in the boat and keep more money in your wallet.

Thanks for the tip.  I use senkos on shakey heads and kill em but ill give the big bites a shot.  I like the kriet kreature.

Never had much luck on those worms on a shaky head, always liked tricks worms though.

But to be fair.. never really given them their fair share of time on the end of the line.  v~

I just recently got into using Yum Dinger's wacky or t-rigged weightless... but this sounds like something I'd like!  I'll have to give them a try on a shaky head.  Thanks for sharing!

Been wondering if there doing any good.  Thanks

Big bites products are cheap and catch fish but you better buy in bulk because there plastic gets torn really easy. I switch to a thinesse worm made by whopper baits for the simple fact that the bait lasts longer and catches fish just as good as the squirrel tail without having a discolored tail.

That's true.  I bought some kriet kreatures on sale and I literally got one fish out of one bait.  Terrible head and body design.  Maybe these worms are better.

The tail color change is part of the color combo. Plus the tails float making them great for shakey head applications. Everyones got what their confident in. I use these the yo momma and there lizzards and don't have an issue with them tearing? But I'm used to a soft plastic b/c I like the extra action. I can't say the are tearing up though? 3-4 fish a bait is not a problem

In some cases the tail color change is part of the design. Most of the time such as a watermelon with watermelon tail, the tail is a different color of watermelon since big bite uses a floatation additive to the plastic to help the tail float. Other companies achieve the same tail floating action without using the floatation additive by hand pouring and not adding salt. I fish around lots of weedbeds and the kreit kreatures and worms often get torn up without catching a fish due to the bait getting torn going through the weeds.

Used em for a bit today on a shallow rocky reef.. My final conclusion.... rock bass love em!  lo

Didn't hook up a largemouth and smallie with em, but the rock bass wouldn't stay away. lol Went through a bag of em due to em tearing the tails off in about a half hour, lol!

Gonna pick another bag or two up though, try fishing em else where.  ~cf

I personally love the color change but I fish with confidence in color definition versus camouflage. Just me though.

I've never used the kriet creature?

It could be good but the head tears off too easy and there's not enough meat on the body.

Have you seen their new variety of squirrel tail?

The Flying Squirrel..   I can't wait to give these a try!

Mike, are you using a straight shank hook with those?  I would say that would help preserve the head some and let the worm slide up the hook.  just curious if that is why you can get 3-4 per worm. Jim

For the Yo Momma I use an offset. And for the squirrel tail I use a screw on shakey head. Haven't played with the Kriet Creature any

I've used the jewel also and have really liked it but haven't settled on it. Still looking around and playing with things.
