I was just looking at some pieces of baits I had on a table and two kinda judt stood. A gene larew craw worm and a big bite baits squirrel tail worm, so I got to thinking, if the tails on the squirrel tail worm float  on the worm couldn't they do the same thing on the craw worm? This is what came out.....

lo lo....I don't know yet, I also made some more and I'll add some more pictures later. One is a sweet beaver body with the claws of a rage craw. The other is a beaver body with the bottom half of a baby brush hog.

Frankinbaits, always interesting and innovative at times. Just curious as to why you want the rear to float though?

fishingfanatic14

I melt them together with a candle. I want the claws to float because it looks like a crawfish in a defensive position.

After I got done i had some pieces left over from each bait and didn't want to throw to throw them away so I made these...

Floating claws make sense. It just was not clear where you put the tails.

Thanks, I'm stealing the idea!  lo

Looks great, I got some of those worms lying around and never use em, I've found a use!  ~shade

there is a bait called the boxing craw built by whopper baits that looks alot like that and it floats up without using a discolored floatational tail like the squirrel tails. Seems like theres alot of people starting to make defensive looking craws now.

I like that I'm always looking for something with the pinchers floating to look real

I use a soldering iron and hold it between my knees while melting appendages on to other baits but just be VERY CAREFUL and DO NOT let the soldering iron fall back toward your body  lo and make sure your wearing shoes and an old pair of jeans. Hot plastic does not feel good and will blister your skin.
