Watched the Space Shuttle Atlantis land this morning on TV.  That ends the 30 year space shuttle program.  It has been a part of our lives for a long time, hard to believe it is over.

Yeah, never thought that shuttle would end. But I guess it's time for a new and improved transportation system.  Teleporting anyone?

I'm sure the Government will now find a way to squander that money on something less usefull as is the  way more often than not. Maybe we can send it to some more foreign Countries instead of helping our own people out.

Right now we have to rely on the Russian space program to get into space, including bringing supplies to the space station.  From what I hear on the news, the space program is supposed to be privatized and not a government operation any more.  Your president made that decision last year.

I hear all the money saved is going into hi-speed rail here in Florida - can anyone confirm? ~shade

I "thought" our idiot Governor nixed the train deal, at least the one from Tampa to Orlando which really didn't make any sense anyway since it wasn't even going to go to the downtown Orlando area.  I did hear about a possible new idea which covers more area so that may be a good idea being what the price of gas is.
