Hello fellow fisherman. This is my first post so bear with me. I found this tip out from personal experience and have also read about in magazines. In summer, after lakes have started seeing pressure and been assaulted with rattling crankbaits, try fishing a silent bait to turn the bite back on. It's a strange concept, but imagine a dog on the corner of a house. If you were to start walking towards the dog it would here you and most likely not bite. if you were silent and caught it by surprise around the corner, it would be likely to bite out of reaction. See what I'm saying? Here are a few good options of silent crankbaits to try: Rapala Shad Rap, original Rapala with split shot 18 inches above it on the line, Bomber Switch Back shad, and Strike King KVD series 6xd. Other brands that make silent cranks are, Bandit, Poe's, lucky craft, Xcalibur, and D baits.
