Please do not vote for the Red River on the February 18th tournament. The 2012 Bassmaster Classic is scheduled for Feb. 24-26, we don't want to mess with "their" fish. They bring a bunch of money into our area and I think they've earned the right to be given some space.

Also, Lake Bistineau is questionable for next year. I've contacted Wildlife and Fisheries and they can't give me a definitive answer as to whether it will be drawn down next year or not. You may put it on your schedule, but be aware that if it's drawn down too low then we will fish the alternate lake in it's place.

Our schedule is up and anyone interested in fishing with us should sign up on our website for upcoming announcements/reminders, for next season. Our first tournament of the year, on Black Bayou Hosston (Jan. 7th, 2012) will be an OPEN, meaning only those people placing in the money will have membership ($25/person) deducted. The entry fee will be $60 and paid out 100%, as with all of our tournaments, and if you get in 5 tournaments then you qualify to fish our Classic. 100% of our membership fees go into the Classic Fund and are paid out at that tournament. We have a great group of guys that fish with us and we're looking for a few more.

Guess I get confused...not hard...but will there be a 7lb pot this tournament or the next...

Just hope it isn't as cold and miserable as it was this past January... :(

FishinSteelersFan

Yes, there will be a 7 Pound Pot at Hosston.  In fact, the 7 Pound Pot is not an option at BL Campti (Feb. 4th) unless they got into it at Hosston...or placed in the money.  We're definitely due for a good January tournament, the last two  were bitter cold...with snow flurries coming down throughout the day.

I be interested in fishing this trail if I could find a fishing parter to team with. Can't guarantee that I would fish every tournament due to the distance of some locations and not ever being on some of the lakes but sure does sound like a good setup.

It looks like we will be having our 2 Day tournament On Caddo Lake as a combined tournament with Texas Poormans, again this year.  This year, we drew 52 boats for this event...hopefully more for this next year.

Just a little more then a month away, I'll enjoy getting back to fishing the Louisiana Poorman's and seeing everyone again. With the rains we have been getting maybe our lakes will start to come back up to a reasonable level.

We're looking forward to the new season also...just hope first tournament is not like last year....we just had to give it up around 1:00...both soaked to the bone, cold, miserable,  and not the first hit on anything...I've fished in colder temps down in the low 20's and haven't ever been that cold... ~roflmao

Want do that ever again...but will probably be there anyway... ~roflmao

Hopefully, this rain will help Wayne!

Scotty...I don't want to fish in those miserable conditions myself.  Lucky, I brought a change of clothes and we were able to thaw out in the truck for about and hour before going back out.  We had two bites all day and I think that's the coldest that I've ever been on the water too!
