Just bought a helmet from Moto-DirectUSA.com. It is the 'modular helmet'. You can either open the visor or raise the whole chin quard.  Fits over my glasses just fine.  Adjustable vents.

They shipped fast and got the order right.  For $49 this helmet rocks.  I'm pretty happy.

Word of warning though, I measured my head 3 times at 23.5 inches (proof I do not have a swelled head, by the way).  23.5" is smack dab in the middle of the Large size range.  It is pretty snug. If you order one and you are on the higher end of the range I'd think about moving up a size.  23.5" is a darned snug fit for a Large.

I got a medium and it is a very snug fit on my midget head....But I couldn't imagine going out in the boat now without a helmet on.  If nothing else just for the looks from all the weekend warriors at the ramp as I suit up and get ready to go..... :roll2: :shocking:

nLareau What brand of helmet is it? Does the chin section and visor lock in place?

Let's just remember that as the homo sapien evolved....

OK, I stuck the helmet pics in the gallery under nlareau. I'll leave them there for a day or two.  $60 when you include shipping.

I've only worn 2 helmets in my life. This one is number 2.  Seems OK to me. Didn't fog up.  Having the chin bar and the visor be seperately movable is pretty nice.

Once I get the skin back on my nose from having tried to take it off with my glasses on I'll be good-to-go!.

I've had a couple brain buckets for off road racing, and bikes, but never for boating.
All of mine have been large, and they were all tight, I think they are supposed to be tight to support your crainium.
Is this one different?
Does it float or somethin?
I saw the pics, and like the Style alot, even like the color.

Nothing special, I'm sure it was made for street bike riding.  My guess is that it would not float.  After I wore it for a while I realized that it was a good fit. You are correct, they are supposed to be tight. The manual says that if you move a helmet from side to side the skin on your temples must move or it is too loose.

Again, I don't guess I am claiming anything special about this other than I ordered it over the internet, they delivered in 3 days, and they got the order right.  That's a success all by itself....

It looks like a great helmet, Neal.
If I ever get another bike, I'm defanitely going to check em out.

I always hated that about helmets.  I've gone through a few in my time for various activities.
That was one of the things that caught my eye about the Save Phace Fish Hedz.  I have no problem putting on or taking off the mask while wearing large frame sunglasses.  A huge benefit is that they are nowhere near as hot as helmets on sunny days.
When you get a chance, check out the new info on their site.  The off-road Save Phace is in full production now too.  Also, they have begun the field testing of ski and snowmobile models with plans towards paintball masks after that.
