We are less than one week away from the April 23 tournament on Bisteneau.  Sunrise is at 6:37.  Therefore, you can launch at 6:10.  Trailering will be allowed, but you cannot leave Plum Orchard until 6:10.  Weigh in begins at 2:30, and penalty will be assessed starting at 3:00.  No fish will be weighed unless you check in before 3:30.  Be safe and lets have a great time!

I want to trailer somewhere else

Broskee

that is fine with me :D

Lawguy513

Yeah, trailer all you want, as long as it is to somewhere on Bisteneau  lo

JMGullo

Bistineau dumps into loggy bayou and that dumps into the river and all the other lakes dump into the river too so it's all one big water system.

I am with Gullo.....i think the river is part of this water system..........plus i cant catch fish on bistineau

Lawguy513

You said you couldn't catch fish on the river, either...  Plus Gullo set the schedule, so blame him :)  The only way I could catch a fish on Bisteneau is if you threw it to me, and even then I might drop it!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again after what seems like forever!

Ready to fish with everyone again  ~c~

So do we need to be in line by 3 or back at plum?

If penalties start at 3 and DQ'd after 15min I don't understand the 3:30 time thing, sorry  :-\

Lawguy513

Ron, last year there was some confusion.  We will have at least 8 hours (8:20 to be exact) from launch to start of weigh-in.  If you are at Plum by 3:00 (8:50 of fishing time), then there will be no penalty.  I felt I needed to give an absolute, that's it, I'm packing it up and going home deadline just in case.  I seriously doubt that anyone would catch enough that they could take a half hour worth of penalty.  In any event, everything is usually some degree of chaos, and that is me saying that I plan to be able to leave by 3:30.  Hope this clears that up!

Just jump on 20 head west, get off on the 2nd minden exit the one with the Lake Bistineau sign, its a sharp turn right getting off 20
follow the exit to the stop sign and turn left on Sibley road or 371 HWY it's the same road just not sure what the sign says.  Stay on it until you get into Sibley, at the 3way stop light just before the bridge turn right on 164 to Doyline, one in Doyline turn left and the 3 way caution light right by the ammo plant onto HWY 163 stay on 163 until HWY 527 turn left until you see the sign for Plum turn right and you are there.

or stay on 20 west until exit 33, get off and at the light turn left on HWY 157, follow it out of town to the only 4 way stop sign and turn left on HWY 527 pass my house and keep straight until you see the sign for plum turn right and your there.

If logan and I catch one at bistineau it would be like catching one in a bath tub......but thanks for the compliment.  I am trying to get out there again this week and look one more time but this work thing gets in the way.

I plan to be at Plum Orchard around 5:30 to collect the money.  If you have fished with us before during this year, total fee is $30, which includes $5 for big bass.

sillybass

Are we going to have to pay the launch fee?

Yep it's $3.00, they painted the fee box the other day so folks would notice.   :-*

You all are in some serious trouble..... I just got a text from JMGullo and he is on some serious fish. Just sent me a photo of two that look to be 4.5 to 5 pounds each. Said he had 17-18 and they all came from one little hump... Pinned up with the wind....

If I was you all I'd pull his prop :surrender:
