If your talking about the fair grounds there are better places to fish in that area. I haven't fished the back pond for awhile. Might be worth the walk back there.

i went to the very back pond and caught that very nice 2 and a half pounder right in a pocket. i think he came up from the deep to get the old strikeking seinko.

Adams county fairgrounds are a decent place to go.
I live not to far I usually fish the first pond for cats but there are some pigs in the back lake and if you catch it in the spawn and walk the golf course side WOW there are some beasts but I only saw them when I was golfing.
Can not say I would brave golf balls being hit at me whilst I fished but hey it would be worth it maybe.

BASS BOSS!!

We should go out there in the spawn

Sorry for the delay the water was at 50 degrees at the front lake and the back lake was at 48.6 so they are getting close

BASS BOSS!!

Wow I'm surprised it's that warm!!

I only got a water temp for the shallows so i am sure that the deeper you go the colder it gets

I have had a great spring so far. I fish ETV, Spratt, Mckay and Adams County Fair Grounds (in the back). Spratt disappointing as always and the fish look bad there (scarred). Watermelon plastic craws, in shallow heavy cover and the retrieve fairly fast. All water temps between 45-50. All 2.5 or better.

Nice we fish out at evt sometimes as well but no luck and sprat has not been treated well ever since its opening me and a couple buddies used to fish it when it was private
great belly boat lake but that kid drowning out there put a instant hault to that there used to be some nice fatboys in there but I saw a bunch of dead fish there one summer and it was due to some chemical they used to keep the foliage down ended up killin some fish as well adams county is a good lake the front one you can catch some nice cats as well as bass but they are super pressured and when you get into them bam people start crowding you out I have ran into that problem several times but it is what it is has anyone caught any smallies out at the thornton gravel pits off of 88th and colo. blvd
