Where'd you get that jighead?   Curious to know how you 'decorated' it with the weed guard in the way.

I built it from scratch.  I always glue the weedgaurd in after painting.  This way I get the best paint possible.

I don't know if you get Bass Master Magazine, but this months issue has a jig with the exact same color combination.  Its a new form of a jighead but the black and copper color on the head is the same.  I like it, I think it will work.

Excellent looking jig! 

I tie a lot of hair jigs, and both black & brown with a little copper flash are favorites of mine. I also like brown jigs that are closer to copper colored, it just seems to me that I have more success with them than with regular brown.

That color does sound good in that hair jig.  I'm trying to fish a few more copper colored baits this year.  I'm hoping I can get some matching craws in my area pretty good.  I'll be diving alot locally and taking pictures of them.  Match the hatch right?

Nice jig!  What brand and size hook do you use?  I make football head jigs and use a 4/0 Mustand ultrapoint 2x strong hook in mine.  I have never bent the hook fighting a fish.  That one there will catch them.  Nice work.
