long as the winds are calm and no rain...long ride in that weather.

scwildbill

Hey Lip... Ain't nuthin wrong with Hush puppies, cole slaw, OR sweet tea, but I was raised that catfish are trash fish, bottom feeders, eatin da crap off the bottom!!.... Yeah I know that ain't all true but I've never gotten that out of my mind.... I also HATE eating fish!!... Think most all fish is nasty with maybe the exception of Crappie, Mahi mahi! ;).... If you'd like I'll box that catfish up fer ya and send ya my share.....Shouldn't taste much different either way!!! :roll2: ;)

Extended forecast...Tuesday through Sat...high pressure moves into the Atlantic
Tuesday night with a ridge persisting over the southeast U.S. And the fla
peninsula through the week...and into the weekend. Easterly flow
ensures a gradual warmup with temperatures above normal by Thursday and into the
weekend. Some moisture may intermittently come over S fla on the
easterly flow...bringing minute shower activity...mainly to the East
Coast. At this time...not enough to place in zones.

Sharon

We  have freeze warnings here and temps are dropping, I was wondering what the weather would be next weekend, thanks.
Lets all chant, 80s no wind, 80s no wind, OMMM   OMMMM  ;D

This is a report from our local paper...I am not placing it in the fishing report section because it is generated by a third party.

LAKE OKEECHOBEE
The flurry of cold fronts has made for tough fishing. The best bet has been to fish the open water in Moonshine Bay by slow-trolling spinnerbaits and lipless crankbaits and to flip plastic crawdads in the mats of cattails and lily pads. Speckled perch were biting in the Kissimmee River, Indian Prairie Canal and Harney Pond Canal. The lake level was 15.54 feet.

Sounds about the way we were yesterday, Steve, but the specs were slow.

Oh, btw, its ok to put that into the fishing reports section, even if it was generated by a third party, as long as you give credit to who and where it came from.

Thanks Sharon....for some reason I got only half a post out....hmmm I wonder what

Spetro, an easterly wind? Seems like to me that might make it a little difficult going out of clewston ~rant but that would be par for course with me. Seems like I haven't fished on a calm day since before thanksgiving ~xyz

I think we'll be OK Mike........after all your in a Legend now ~shade

Mike Cork

Wasn't worried about the ride or the boat  ;) But a strong wind will make finding those bedding bass kinda difficult. But at least the fastcat guys will be able to really demonstrate the ride of their boats :-*

This front pulled em off of their beds yesterday, but they weren't far away.....suspending about 10 feet in 12 to 14 feet of water over in Lake Wales......dang wind wouldn't let us get em tho.
