Date suggestion for 2011 Rally

ok its getting really close to spring so im starting a suggestion thread for dates for the Midwest rally. post your suggested dates and then i will make a poll and we can vote for a date.

i say April 23-24

I have a tournament on the 24th. The weekend that works best for me is may 14th and 15th

Both dates work for me, but I am inclined to go with the mid May date as it's a payday weekend for 1 and it's a little warmer for 2. Did we decide on a location yet?

After the Dates and Place are set - Any thoughts about pooling our resources and purchasing a traveling trophy that will sit in the home of the peron(s) who come in with the largest bag? No money, just something for bragging rights for the year.

April 23-24 is the first weekend of Turkey Season here in Missouri so that might hurt the attendance from some Missouri folks. I like the idea of the trophy.

Tournament that day. Summer actually works better for me. Spring and fall are going to get into the hunting time and I'm going to start filming a new hunting show this spring so I know anything during turkey or deer season I'm going to be either filming or hunting someplace so april is out and so is oct. July, Aug, sept work best for me. I think we are just going to have to have a vote for a date and if someone can't make it than they can't make it. Trying to find a date that works for everyone is going to be impossible.

I'd like to have it a weekend we can all meet up though... so how bout

If we do it out here, my club is 5 mins from Mazonia. I can talk to the chairman and see about having us set up camp there. May cost like $10 per night per site, but worth it (includes electricity for da boats

)

yea its gonna be tough cause the end of july is my wifes family reunion that lasts 4 days so july is out for me.

bad thing about summer months is fishing can be pretty tough.

maybe last weekend in may turkey season should be over at least i'll be done in Mo i know.
we can work something out.
