bought my first champion yesterday

wow bought a 19 foot champion yesterday 96 model love it it is a cadillac need some help though its got a 200 horsepower evinrude vindicator i would like to get any info i can on what setup will get me the maximum speed i do have a six inch manual jackplate to and what speeds is anybody else getting i havent had a gps on it yet so i dnt know

Most used prop to pad setting on Champs is 3.5 inches.

Make sure to record the WOT rpms along with your GPS speed so the folks will have an idea to work with in helping you get it set-up. ;)

Champions are not built for speed (hull design and weight)...mine runs great in rough water...fully loaded,gps 68.7...1/3 tank and fishing alone, 70-72. I run a Merc. with a 26 in. tempest plus...hope this helps.

P.S. my boat is a 1993 19 ft. w/200 hp...also, fully loaded is full gas, two people (appox. 430 lbs.) and max. tackle.
