I was shopping for Structure scan.... of course the bigger screen is better.... I believe they start at hds7 to get the bigger screen. Hummingbird has some nice ones too. The bigger ones start at 999.00.. And I really want one!!!   If anyone has one for sale or want to TRADE for a 15ft camo jon boat with trailer and 15hp evinrude....... Please let me know. I thought about selling it for 1250 OBO for everything since I put alot of work into the motor and paint job.... Spread the word, and let me know!!!!

You do know you need both an HDS head unit and the Structurescan add on right?  The total for what you need is about $1700.00 just to get in the door if you don't already own part of the system.  Being that it's all new technology I am betting it's gonna be pretty tough to find someone to part with what they have for the price you are offering.  I just bought the stuff piece by piece as I could afford it.

So is there a Good depth finder/gps that comes all in ONE? or what is your opinion on a good one for 1000 ?

If you already have a thousand.  I would suggest saving around 5 or 6 hundred more and just get the Hummingbird 898c si combo for 1499.00 at bass pro.  Thats just my opinion.  Lowrance is going to cost you a considerable amount more because you have to buy the unit plus the structure scan unless you get the HDS7 bundle combo.  I believe its 1599.00 for hds7/structure scan.

Spend some time searching the net there are some great deals on both Lowrance and HB out there. Also are you a Federation member? Lowrance offers some great discounts if you are  :-* Check out the FLW website to find out how to become a member.

I agree. Shop around...there can be some cheaper prices than what BPS, Cabela's, etc. (big box stores) offer. Thats for both Lowrance and HB. I bought my whole HDS/Structure Scan from an independent dealer and prices were awsome. Plus lowrance is having a rebate promotion from Feb 14 - March 27. Units must be purchased between those dates to qualify.

Familiar with ebay? I've purchased the HDS8 (saved 250$) and the LSS1 (saved 100$) by shopping around on ebay. Hummingbird is a little cheaper but I like the Lowrance and the user friendly bottom buttons much more. Good luck
