dsi mounting

I wonder if you can mount the dsi ducers on the modified jackplate like I have seen a few times? for either brand

IF you mount to the Jackplate it will not read when on-plane, since the transducer will be out of the water and sonar does not work shooting thru air. The Humminbird DI/2D Only transducer is designed for high speed and can be mounted for all speed or if you have a fiberglass boat can me mounted to shoot thru the hull if you want added protection.

thnx doug I don't want to put any holes in the boat so I have always used tth mounting for all my ducers but I have always felt I was loosing a little power thru the glass, and that is assuming your install was clean with no voids, just lookin for another option on the transom
