Black Lake Hosston Fishing Reports????

Congrats to the winners of the Tourny last saturday on Caddo!! Great to see that 10.66lb Pig as well!!! That was the 4th fish of that size I heard that was caught on caddo in the same day!!!!

Next Tourny at Black Lake Hosston.... I have never fished it before and wondering if anyone knows whats biting out there right now?

Fished a tournament on hosston Sunday and I think everyone caught something. We got 3 rd with 13lbs Papa got 2nd with 15lbs and Nick won it with 17lbs. Everyone had a different thing going except for jigs.

So there is No Slot Limit there... But is there a minumum limit? what is the daily limit of bass? and what is this I saw online about not putting a motor bigger than a 50hp in there? Im just trying to get all the rules and regulations of this lake before I fish it (tommorrow ).... If anyone knows, please let me know soon. Im heading out late morning and of course the La wildlife and fisheries is not working for me tonight!

You can put big motors in there daily limit is 5 and I think state wide min size is 12" hope that helps

Daily limit of 10 and no minamum lenghth Texas is 5 with 12in min if I'm not mistaken.

Louisiana: No Size Limit unless posted by Lake. Limit is 10 of any size unless posted by lake.

the following link goes to the LDWF on creel limits: http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/fishing/freshwater-recreational-state-creel-and-size-limits We are following the creel limits posted there, except for Caddo, we used 18 inches (texas rules) to avoid conflict. Caddo will be the only lake we fish with two slots.

Drrobertray, there is a lake in south central louisiana called black lake as well and then one even further south called black bayou lake which I do believe has a horse power limit but not sure. The one in Hosston does not.

I am planning on going to Hosston Saturday morning, even though it is supposed to be real cold. If you want to meet up (bring your own boat) at the What-a-Burger on North Market just south of I-220 at 6:30. My cell number is 780-8013

Id Love to But I have to work until noon.

But anyways, I did go out there and launched at a park last Sunday.... Got there at noon, and talked to a guy coming in which he told me he had NO BITES all day. So I fished every bait and got NO BITES for rest of day. The water was CLEAR and had dropped temp Big time! I think it made them shut mouth. But that was my first time fishing that lake.... Nice lake with alot of grass! BUT NO FISH FOR ME

.... I never give up though... Ill be back this coming weekend! Let me know how yall do out there saturday!

Still going Saturday morning, meeting at the What-a-Burger just north of 220 at 6:30 if anyone wants to join us. Fish should be hungry!

Considering my boat being in the shop, I think me and OldJim are going to go and prefish on saturday as well. I think we will be out around 9 or so. As of right now, the time table for getting my boat back is 2 weeks. So we will see.
