Our season opener on caddo is less than a month away. Just a reminder it will be $40 a team for the first tourny which includes $10 membership. Every other tourny will be 30 which includes $5 big bass pot. We will post the take off time from the Earl G launch when it gets a little closer. Thanks again John

Lawguy513

We will allow trailering, but you can only leave at launch time

I'm ready to go, just need a little pre-fishing time!  I  am sure John will have the Lake broken down by then.

If it goes as planned I will be out there Tuesday and Thursday and shooting for Monday the week before. But it's all liable to change by Saturday. Gonna have to bring my A game to beat Wayne since he has home field advantage!!!

This may seem like a crazy question but what slot will we be going by the Texas or Louisiana.....I do not fish Caddo but i thought the Texas and La sides have different slot limits.

JMGullo

Going with the Texas slot limit 14-18

Lawguy513

Right, whatever is most inclusive... 14-18.  Better safe than sorry in covering all our bases.  Don't want anyone to get a ticket.

Drrobertray

Ever since that $265 ticket i got for that 17 1/2'' fish I caught, I like to play it safe now... LOL... Even though you Launch from La..... You still have to obide by the Tx laws if you are in Tx. (words from game warder).... Lesson Learned.

Went to Caddo yesterday...water temps 43 degrees. I fished in Jeems for about 3 hours without a bite...talked to another guy with the same results.  :surrender:

And I bet the water was real muddy too. Always makes for tuff fishing.

I should be able to get away and come help that afternoon. Can't wait to see some heavy sacks.

A group of us are meeting at the What-a-burger on North Market at 6:30.  In getting ready to put my boat in the water for the first time in a few months, I ran down a list of issues:  Checked tire pressure (filled to 50lbs as recommended by Goodyear for Marathon tires), restrung my reels, checked all of my storage boxes, got the batteries on charge, checked all of the switches, pumps, etc, checked the trolling motor, made sure I have enough life jackets for the number of people, and made sure I have all of my electronics.  I recommend that anyone going during this cold water pack an extra set of clothes just in case.  I also have a small propane heater, again just in case someone decides to go swimming.

JMGullo

Anyone else heading to caddo in the morning is more than welcome to meet us at whataburger

Lawguy513

Can't wait to get on the water!  If you can't meet at Whataburger, we are launching from Shady Acres.  Look for 2-3 big dudes in a blue procraft, and come say hi
