Prop shaft to pad measurements (Champion)

Mines @ 3.5 tried a few different trips moving it, but always ends back there.

Yep 3.50 is the most common setting on Champs.  I set mine at 3.75 as in my situation its seemed best.

Being ultra Champion biased: We have the best boat going so get posting.

Thinks it more about Champion beam forward wide body design, move of the gas tank more toward mid, and the 100's of pounds of tackle I carry.   

@ 3.5 which the factory set it @ I had blow out and prop slippage.

I run a 23 pitch tempest 3 blade (large PVS plugs) and my spare is a 4 blade solas.  On the real big water (waves) in run the 4 blade.

What model and motor do you have.  I loved my champ.  I don't miss it because it was older and the ranger is newer, but I would like another one someday.

Generally speaking most people start at 3.5" below and go from there.

As a newbie I have to say: we have some nice folks on this site.  So far I would say its a great site with some useful information combining fishing, boats, and misc topics.

No matter what you run brand x or brand Z or just fish from shore, what brings us together is either green or brown fish.  ~sun 

I think we can  ~beer~ to that.
